I saw the first seven episodes of the series with my parents, having watched the finale while I was away at school. The only thing I can truly remember my mother saying about the series is “he’s great, isn’t he?” referring to Alan Ritchson.

Ritchson steals the show once again as Jack Reacher, always staying true to his character as an intimidating, justice-seeking ex-military specialist. What was especially charming about season two was the proper introduction to the “Special Investigators,” Reacher’s team that he assembled and would eventually be avenging throughout the course of the show. The flashes between the present and how the team assembled is especially interesting to note, as it reveals a personal touch to the anger Reacher has for Langston and his whole crew, similar to how his brother’s death in season one ignited a flame under him.

While the show as a whole was great, I can’t help but feel a little… unsatisfied with how it ended. Sure, it was a fitting ending, but for a finale, I felt it just wasn’t quite enough. Langston and the dealer got what they deserved. The main four core of the remaining squad survived. Stakes were high, but something just doesn’t sit quite right. Maybe that’s just me, what do I know? I don’t watch many shows these days anyway.
